View From the Publishing Trenches

I have been a published freelance writer for almost 20 years and a publisher for four years. I’ve written four published books (three by our family-owned Slipdown Mountain Publications LLC) and dozens of magazine articles published in the US, UK, and Australia. Our company has published eight books to date, with several more in work — both nonfiction (on military aviation history and the paranormal) and fiction (historical and sci-fi/thriller).

Slipdown Mountain Publications publishes historical and speculative fiction and nonfiction on military history and the paranormal. We also publish reprints of historic military flight manuals.

In 2007, we established a subsidiary company, Five Rainbows Services for Authors and Publishers, to provide a full range of editorial and book design services. We recently announced our new Penny-Pinching Options for authors and publishers on a tight budget!
