Slipdown Mountain Publications LLC author (and my charming daughter) Lisa A. Shiel has kicked off her month-long virtual book tour for her new book The Evolution Conspiracy, Vol I: Exposing Life’s Inexplicable Origins & The Cult of Darwin. Here’s this week’s schedule:

Monday, 2 Nov — Home School Buzz (book review)

Tuesday, 3 Nov — Book Tours and More (book excerpt)

Wednesday, 4 Nov — The Fantasy Pages

Thursday, 5 Nov — The Book Faery Reviews

Thursday, 5 Nov — Blogging Authors

Friday, 6 Nov — My Reading Room

Friday, 6 Nov — The New Book Review

ec-coverHave an opinion or a question about the theory of evolution? Drop by at one or more stops on the tour and let your voice be heard. Lisa will be happy to respond to all comments and questions.

The book is currently available online in print at Amazon and Barnes & Noble (and most other outlets), as a PDF on Scribd, and in the Kindle bookstore (and, of course, iTunes for the Kindle app).

I’d wager that this book is probably not at all what you might think it is. So, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and what you think you know about Darwinian evolution theories. Get a copy of the book and read it for yourself. It will give you the tools and techniques to analyze the theories and make an informed decision for yourself.

  • Happy to be hosting Lisa on the 23rd!

  • “It will give you the tools and techniques to analyze the theories and make an informed decision for yourself.”

As a Biologist I have the tools and techniques I require to analyze this matter. Have you studied Biology?

    • (1) I did not write the book. My daughter Lisa did.

      (2) I am always amused by those who leap into the critical fray about this book without even having read it. Your mind’s made up, we mustn’t confuse it with facts.

      (3) This book has been reviewed by several highly qualified professors of biology. Some reviewed it at an early stage and provided comments that were incorporated in the final version.

So, you may have the technical “tools” to evaluate evolution but that does not mean you have subjected its theories to a rigorous analysis with no preconceived conclusions in mind. And you have caused me to wonder whether your have learned any critical thinking skills in your studies, since you feel qualified to critique something (this book) that you know absolutely nothing about.

If you want to spend a few hours reading the book and THEN offer some meaningful comments, feel free to drop by Lisa’s website at EvolutionConspiracy.com and do so.

  • Where did I say I have my mind made up about anything? You seem to harbor an irrational hatred for scientists. The mere mention of biology sent you into a tantrum.

    Goodbye.

    • Your comment was either pointless or was intended to imply that you already know everything about the subject and don’t need the book. The former means there’s no point to debating it. The latter means you are approaching the issue with a closed mind (your extensive knowledge means you already know everything that is relevant).

I am definitely not anti-scientist (although I might be anti-scientific establishment, I suppose). I have a degree in electrical engineering with many hours of study in physics and have done graduate work in astronomy. Lisa, the book’s author, has completed an incredible number of hours of research over the course of more than a year to delve into her topic.

So were you just making pointless comments trolling for reactions or did you actually have something substantive to say?

      Cheers!
