Just a question: A visually impaired friend of mine entrusted the publication of her book to a friend... who took it to FASTPRINT in the UK. She was under the understanding that the book would only be sold by her through her website. Apparently the friend acquired an ISB number and the book appeared on Fastprint's bookstore. I bought a copy through the bookstore and the revenue was paid to Upfront publishing... nothing coming to the author. I contacted them and they have removed it but say the ISB mumber is theirs and they will simply refuse any orders that come through. My question is should not the ISBN have been hers? Or does the publisher own the ISBN?

Thanks, Paul beshara
